What this site collects, which is very little.

aipia.uk is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds nothing from a third party and carries no forms. This notice states what remains, because "nothing" is rarely quite accurate and it is better to be exact.

Section I This site

Three things happen when you load a page here.

Your browser requests files. Every page is pre-built HTML, served with its stylesheet, its fonts and one script. The script adds a class to the document, reveals sections as you scroll, closes the mobile menu and handles the notice described below. It makes no network requests and sends nothing anywhere.

The host records the request. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps request logs in the ordinary course of operating a content delivery network. Those logs include the internet protocol address the request came from, the page requested, the time, and the user agent string your browser sends. They are held by the host under its own terms, not by the association, and are used to serve and protect the site.

One flag may be written locally. If you dismiss the notice at the foot of the page, a single value is written to your browser's local storage so it does not reappear. It stays on your device. It is not read by anything else, and clearing site data removes it.

There is no cookie on this site to consent to, no analytics identifier, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no external font, and no tag manager.

Section II Membership data

Membership is processed elsewhere, under its own notice.

Joining, payment, the reserved area and member verification are all handled on the association's own site. When you follow a link from here to registration you leave aipia.uk and the association's privacy notice applies to what happens next.

Registration collects account details, name, date and place of birth, city and country, and asks for two confirmations: that you have read the statute and code of conduct, and that you have read the privacy notice given under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation.

Inclusion in the public directory of artificial intelligence professionals is opt-in at registration. Where a member opts in, the directory publishes first name, surname, city and freelance availability, and nothing else.
