Italy's first professional association for artificial intelligence practitioners.
The Associazione Italiana Professionisti dell’Intelligenza Artificiale (AIPIA) was founded on 23 May 2025 to give practitioners an institutional home: a code of conduct, a shared standard of practice, a credential, and representation in the European regulatory environment.

Section I Constitution
A professional body for a field that had none in Italy.
Italy had no credible institutional home for artificial intelligence practitioners: no organisation representing the profession, setting ethical standards and providing tools for professional growth. AIPIA was constituted to occupy that position, and was open to members outside Italy from the start.
It is a non-profit association under Italian Law 4/2013, the Italian legislation on Italian legislation on unregulated professional bodies. Membership is voluntary. The association is independent and answerable to no commercial interest, and every individual member holds one vote in the general assembly.
Its founding act and statute are published in full, together with its code of conduct, which binds members.

Four recognitions, each traceable to its source.
The association's standing rests on accreditations granted by named bodies rather than on self-description.

Accredited member, European AI Alliance
The European AI Alliance is the multi-stakeholder forum convened by the European Commission on artificial intelligence policy. AIPIA has held accredited membership since 2025.

AIPIA is an official endorser of the Rome Call for AI Ethics.

Accredited issuer of European Digital Credentials
Qualifying AIPIA programmes issue European Digital Credentials, the official credential format of the European Commission, sealed under the eIDAS Regulation (EU) 910/2014 and held in the Europass wallet.

UNI 11621-8:2026 — twelve AI professional profiles
The standard codifies twelve professional profiles for artificial intelligence roles. It is the first European codification of AI job roles.
Section III Network
Where the association operates.
Physical activity runs through hubs at Talent Garden campuses in eight Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Turin, Genoa and Naples. The AI NEXT programme has reached 1,000+ students.
Research and training collaborations run with Harvard, MIT, Boston University and MassRobotics.
The association publishes its city presence as London, New York, Dubai, Toronto, Singapore and Sydney, and holds member briefings across Italy, Europe and partner hubs in Boston, London and the United Arab Emirates.

Section IV This site
Four properties, four jobs.
aipia.it is the operational hub: membership, payment, the reserved area and member verification, in Italian, with English and Spanish editions at en.aipia.it and es.aipia.it.
aipia.eu makes the association findable across the European Union in twenty-two languages and directs visitors to that hub.
This site does a narrower job. It addresses one jurisdiction: a country outside the European Union, without a cross-sector artificial intelligence statute of its own, whose practitioners are nonetheless inside the reach of European rules when they sell into the single market.
